I went for 4 days last easter. Great fun but knackering.
We stayed at the cheapest "hotel" - it was comfortable and ok for the time that we were there - which was really only for sleeping cos the rest of the time was spent at the parks.
Eurostar was easy.
Paid £1000 for 3 nights - 2 adults 1 child. Travel/Admission/Accomodation

Eurostar takes you right to the Disneyland station - it's a little further on than Gare du Nord - make sure you get on the Disneyland Express rather than a normal Paris train. :wavebye:

We have been to Disneyland Paris 5 times now, 4 times we stayed in a Disney hotel and once offsite - never again!
I would say ALWAYS stay in the complex as the surrounding area is all motorways and retail parks!
Don't know how you are intending to travel, or what your budget is Joan, but if you are thinking of going by coach, please use Siesta Travel or Ledger (Siesta is cheapest and very comfortable coaches with constant service - a bit like air travel). Siesta's head office no. is 01642 227711 and they have dedicated Disney brochures.
If you are flying, go with British Midland if you can rather than Air France, as they are quite a bit cheaper. There are regular shuttle buses from Charles de Gaulle airport to the park, which from memory cost about £8 per person each way. It takes about an hour from the airport to the park bus station, then you can get a shuttle bus to the hotel.
The Eurostar package is very good, but as you are in Manchester, it means that you first have to either drive to Waterloo or Ashford, or else get the train into Euston and then the tube across to Waterloo. The benefit comes at the other end, as the station is literally at the gates of the park, and you can have your luggage transferred to & from your hotel without lifting a finger.
So, you pays your money and you takes your choice! Personally, I woulld favour the almost door to door option offered by the coach companies, as long as you don't mind 12 hours in a coach (with regular 'comfort stops').
Oh yes, and one more thing in favour of the coach option - they usually offer a stop at a wine warehouse on the way back to Calais - very good for stocking up on bargain wines, spirits and beers!
However you travel, you will have a fantastic time. There is something there for everyone and the atmosphere is amazing - you come back 10 years younger!

Well I have been to Disney land Paris twice. Once on a coach and the second time by car.
All I can say is I would never go by coach again. Maybe its because the trip to Dover from my home is so long but it was murder even with the comfort stops. Took almost 3 hours just to pick people up on the way. I hated it and was absolutely knackered. On that occasion we stayed at the Santa Fe on site. It was good value but very basic.
The second trip by car was fantastic. Trip to Dover was easy. Then onto the P & O ferry, had a nice relaxed sailing. Then drove down to stay at a Camponile hotel about 2 miles from Disneyland.
This was even better value than the onsite hotel. It cost us 135.00 for three nights for 2 adults and one child with breakfast and the first night was included in the ferry crossing.

We stayed at the Newport Bay Hotel which is an onsite Disney hotel. It was gorgeous and to my son, who was 3 years old at the time, seeing Mickey Mouse in the hotel lobby was one of the highlights. A bonus of staying on an onsite hotel is you get into the park one hour earlier than the other punters so it's great for going on the most popular rides before the huge queues form. To be honest I was a little disappointed by some aspects of Disneyland Paris but that's because I'm comparing it with Disney World in Florida and there is so much more at Florida. So in my humble opinion if you've not been to Florida you will love Disneyland Paris but if you've been to Florida it may be a little disappoininting.
